On the 29th of July was held the Kick-Off Meeting for the SMARTiMONY Project “Support stakeholders tackle strategic innovation in tourism in peripheral, remote and sparsely populated areas with resilient heritage offers and place based investments in the Cultural and Creative Industries”. RCDC was unable to attend the meeting due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, but managed to support the event via ZOOM Platform. SMARTiMONY aims to support the capacity of tourism SMEs in remote, peripheral, and sparsely populated areas to grow in regional, national, and international markets and to engage in innovation processes in the tourism sector.

The Project is lead by the University of Ioannina, and is co-funded by the European Union and by national funds of the countries participating in the “INTERREG IPA CBC Greece – Albania, 2014-2020″.
